For World Hijab Day, Salaam Britain headed down to Paddington Station in London to speak with non-Muslims experiencing the hijab for the first time.
Muslims in Rail hosted the World Hijab Day exhibition at the station, where presenter Tarek Ahmed spoke with commuters about the significance of the religious garment.
The annual event, observed on February 1st, was founded by Nazma Khan, a Bangladeshi-American from New York. Khan created World Hijab Day to promote religious understanding by inviting women of all faiths to experience wearing the hijab for a day.
