Islam Channel Bangla has gone from strength to strength since its launch in October 2022. In its first Ramadan, the channel has received a great response from the community and last night on 27th Ramadan, it witnessed the incredible generosity of its viewers. Last night’s live appeal by charity partner, Muslim Hands raised over £1.45 million to help the people of Syria, Palestine and Yemen.

Ramadan Programming
Islam Channel Bangla is entertaining and inspiring audiences with original content for the holy month, including its daily live show ‘Shahrum Mubarak!’ which broadcasts from 4.30-6.30pm daily and is packed with lively discussion, entertainment, inspiration from religious scholars, appearances from nasheed artists and community figures, cookery segments, health tips for Ramadan, short dramas featuring morality tales and the popular daily live quiz.
The channel is also featuring a series of Ramadan lectures by scholars such as Dr. Abul Kalam Azad; Abul Hussain Khan, the Imam of the East London Mosque; Sheikh Fahimul Anam; Sheikha Selina Begum and Sheikh Khidir Hossaina; as well as a Seerah series by US scholar Dr. Zakir Ahmad and a series about mental health and Islam by Sheikh Abu Noman.
Other popular Ramadan content includes the recitation of the entire Quran over the course of the 30 days, a dedicated Ramadan nasheed show, a cooking show that showcases traditional dishes cooked by Bengali families for Iftar, a live Tajweed class, Iftar Dua, A Juz a Day and Live Taraweeh from Al Aqsa.
