The World Halal Food Festival held at the London Stadium at the weekend was the ultimate halal food extravaganza, marking its eighth successful year.
The event, previously known as the London Halal Food Festival, drew in thousands of halal food enthusiasts from around the globe to savour and celebrate the art of halal cuisine.
Attendees had the chance to uncover culinary secrets in live cookery demonstrations at the Tariq Halal Cookery Theatre, featuring renowned chefs and personalities like Nadiya Hussain, Shahid Khan aka Naughty Boy, Ali Rehman and Omar Foster.
The festival offered a delightful array of experiences including live performances, Halal Eat-Off competitions, an expanded Kids Zone, Dessert Zone and a VIP Lounge.
Algebra Festivals, known for organising significant Muslim consumer events, orchestrated the World Halal Food Festival. Their collaborations with key partners like the London Metropolitan Police, Western Union, British Islamic Trade Association and Tariq Halal Meats further enriched the event’s community engagement.
Waleed Jahangir, Managing Director at Algebra Festivals, expressed excitement about the event’s return to London Stadium, emphasising its role in bringing diverse communities together to savour global flavours.
Graham Gilmore, CEO of London Stadium, also welcomed the festival, acknowledging its ability to unite food and culture in the heart of East London.
