Several Muslim institutions in London, including masjids, community centres, and a primary school, have been targeted with Islamophobic graffiti in what appears to be a coordinated hate campaign.
The vandals spray-painted messages like “Stop Islam” and “Remigration,” along with anti-Muslim slurs and Christian symbols on the masjids.
The Metropolitan Police said it is investigating the incidents of criminal damage and treating them as hate crimes.
Reports suggest the attacks were orchestrated through a Telegram group that offered £100 bounties for acts of vandalism against Muslim institutions.
These incidents follow a recent case where police arrested and charged a teenager with terrorism offences outside a mosque in Scotland last week.
Islam Channel’s Tarek Ahmed, reporting for Salaam Britain, visited Noor ul Islam — the primary school that was the most recent target. He spoke with local community members about the impact of these attacks.
