Watch: Marieha Hussain speaks out about her ‘coconut’ placard ordeal

Marieha Hussain opens up about her experience with the Metropolitan Police and Crown Prosecution Service, shedding light on the criminalisation of pro-Palestine voices in the UK.

The school teacher was found not guilty of a racially aggravated public order offence for holding up a satirical sign showing politicians Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman as coconuts.

Hussein was charged after being photographed holding the placard during a pro-Palestine protest that attracted hundreds of thousands of people.

Watch her speak to Islam Channel about the challenges peaceful protesters face and the importance of standing up for justice in the face of adversity.
