The artists at Global Peace and Unity (GPU) Festival 2024

Mesut Kurtis

The renowned Turkish-Macedonian nasheed artist is known for his soulful Islamic music. Born in 1981 in Skopje, North Macedonia, he blends traditional Islamic themes with contemporary sounds, appealing to a global audience. Kurtis gained widespread recognition with his debut album “Salawat,” and has since released several successful albums. 

Humood Alkhudher

Humood is a prominent Kuwaiti nasheed artist known for his uplifting and inspirational songs touching faith, self-improvement, and positivity. Born in 1989, he achieved international fame with his hit single “Kun Anta,” part of the album “Aseer Ahsan”. His music, which blends modern pop with traditional nasheed, has earned him widespread recognition and a devoted global following.

Harris J

The British nasheed artist is known for his contemporary Islamic music that blends pop with spiritual themes. Born in 1997 in London, he gained widespread recognition with his debut album “Salam”, which features the popular single “Assalamu Alaikum.”

Najam Sheraz

Naja is a renowned Pakistani singer and nasheed artist who transitioned from mainstream pop music to spiritual and religious songs. Known for his powerful voice, he gained widespread acclaim with his hit nasheed “Na Tera Khuda Koi Aur Hai”.

Salwa Najam

Salwa is a British nasheed artist known for her soulful and melodic Islamic songs. With a focus on themes of faith, spirituality, and empowerment, she has gained recognition within the Muslim community for her powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics. 

Egzon Ibrahimi

A German nasheed artist and Quran reciter known for his captivating voice and spiritually enriching performances, Egzon’s ability to blend traditional Islamic content with modern musical styles has made him a respected and influential figure in Germany’s Islamic music scene.

Isam Bachiri

Isam is a Danish vocalist, rapper, and songwriter of Moroccan descent — and a former member of the popular group Outlandish. In recent years, he has pursued a solo career, blending cultural influences in his music and exploring themes of identity, faith, and social justice, which resonate deeply within the Muslim community.

Raef Haggag

The American singer/songwriter has achieved global acclaim with his three studio albums released through Awakening Music. His engaging songs and children’s videos have garnered millions of views and earned him a strong following in the United States and Southeast Asia. 

Abdul Fattah Owainat

A powerful and emotive performer, the Jordanian focuses on themes of faith, devotion, and spirituality. Combining traditional nasheed elements with contemporary sounds, Abdul Fattah has gained respect and a following within the Islamic music community worldwide.

Yahya Hawwa

The award-winning vocalist and goodwill ambassador engages millions on social media with fresh, inspiring content. Known for his resonant voice, he passionately sings for global causes, especially Palestine. 

Boonaa Mohammed

Dubbed the “voice of a generation,” Boonaa is a renowned writer, performer, and filmmaker. He has won several slam poetry titles, including CBC’s 2007 “Best New Artist” award. Boonaa’s popular YouTube channel has millions of views, and he regularly conducts writing workshops for youth worldwide.

Amin Davis

Amin “Drew” Davis is a Canadian singer, rapper, and actor who began his career at age six in the Lifetime movie “Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story” alongside Taraji P. Henson. He has appeared in shows like “Orphan Black,” “Heartland,” and Disney XD’s “Bunks,” and starred in films with Ethan Hawke and Sir Patrick Stewart.

Safe Adam

The  British singer-songwriter entered the Islamic entertainment scene in 2012. He has performed worldwide, blending traditional Islamic nasheeds with contemporary elements. His nasheeds inspire faith, positivity, and reflection.
