Finding ways to keep the kids happy and entertained during Eid can be tricky, so we’ve teamed up with Peacock Supplies to bring you five fun activities to do with the little ones this Eid.
Let the games begin!
Piñata
For an Eid party game that kids of all ages can join in with, fill up a moon and star pinatas with sweets and/or toys and watch the fun begin!
Build a Mosque Game
Draw a mosque outline on several pieces of card and number each part of the mosque 1-6. Trace over the template and cut out shapes to fit each part.
When the kids roll the dice, they place the corresponding piece onto their mosque outline. The first to complete their mosque wins.
Flying Carpet Game
Cut a tissue in half and fringe the edges to resemble prayer rugs.
Use a black marker pen to draw an outline of a prayer rug and separate the ply layers, so you have more prayer rugs from one tissue.
The game is to keep the tissue prayer rug in the air without it touching the ground.
Memory Game
Place various items on a tray and give the children 10 seconds to memorise the objects — you could make the objects specifically Eid party-themed. Then find out who remembers the most.
Cookie decorating
Get the kids involved in preparation for Eid. Get them to make a batch of cookies using Islamic-shaped cookie cutters. Let the kids decorate their cookies with icing, sprinkles, chocolate buttons etc.
It’s a fun way to unleash their creativity — and it’s a great way of getting them to help you make some food for the big day
