When is Ramadan 2023? It has now been officially announced that the crescent moon has not been sighted, so the 1st day of Ramadan 1444 will be Thursday, March 23rd, 2023. This means that the night before, on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023, will be the start of Taraweeh.
Ramadan is expected to conclude on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, meaning Eid al-Fitr is likely to fall on Friday, April 21st, 2023.

The most sacred month
Ramadan is the ninth and holiest month in the Islamic Hijri calendar and it begins when the Ramadan crescent is sighted.
It’s a time for us to do more Ibadat, give Sadaqah and seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT).
It’s the month the Quran was revealed to the Prophet (PBUH).
A month where the gates of heaven are open and the gates of hell are locked.
“The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, guidance for the people and clear proof of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days.
”Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.”
